| Description*: | A comic created by Rick Griffin. The idea was conceived in 2006 and came to fruition in 2008. This comic is dedicated to Karishad. ===== Cast Sandwich Family Peanut Butter: The dog of the Sandwich household. Peanut is good-natured and often has a one-track mind. Gets bored easily. Grape Jelly: The cat of the Sandwich household. Grape is lazy but creative, and sometimes a little too pragmatic. Has a mean streak, you know, like a cat would. Mr. and Mrs. Sandwich: They’re nice people, but they weren’t sure they were ready for children, so they got some pets instead. Hoo boy. Neighborhood Pets (unsorted by family) Bino: The ringleader of the neighborhood dogs. Has a tendancy to bite off more than he can chew, but he knows when to defer to someone smarter than him. Which is usually most of the other pets. Joey: Bino’s younger brother. Was the runt of his litter, and is usually ignored for the most part. But it’s okay, he can cope... he can cope... Fox: Wears dogtags. He’s the smart one, which means he’s almost as smart as a cat. But I kid! Rex: What he lacks in brains, he makes up for in his uncanny ability to taste minute differences in coffee blends. Oh, and he’s strong too, but that’s genetic. | ||||

"Behold the housecat,
The fearsome elect!
She's not quite a tiger
As one would expect.
Yet while they sleep,
And dream of thier fishes.
Tis fun to 'cite poems
Pond ‘ring on o'er their wishes.
Their wake time’s a hobby,
Their sleep like a job.
All this I learned
Reading Calvin and Hobbes.
Alas, we must end with,
(Just cause it’s so funny)
My imminent mauling
When I burp her tummy!"

This isn't you normal "dog and cat" comic (that the dog character breaking the dumb dog character mould above). Terrific artist Rick Griffin tries his paw at comic making and does an amazing job. The humor bounces between poetic and slapstick, ironic and "punny", sophisticated and just plain old silly.
With a hefty trump of all very unique and interesting characters, you figured the only last downfall would be the art...
Too bad the art not only starts great, but gets better and now updates three times a week with full color.
